The Corporate Intrapreneur: Becoming a valuable employee

Are you doing your best, or giving your best at work? Hard work is good but it has never been the primary factor for deciding who gets ahead. Most people are doing their best but this is not what your company needs. They need you to give your best. Semantics? No.

This talk dives into the 4 critical elements that will make you a more valuable employee at work; talent expression, effective communication, learning agility and people development.

Duration: 45 minutes

The Cirque du Soleil Effect: Developing talent centric teams

Magical, breathtaking, brilliant, astonishing; these are some of the terms used to describe Cirque du Soleil shows. Why do they have a large global following, and why will their fans pay pricey ticket fees to see a show? Fans like me, know that we will get our money’s worth and more at a Cirque show. The principles used to create a breathtaking show can be applied to developing an effective team.

This talk will explore the power of a talent centered team and how you can build one.

Duration: 1 hour

Put Your Talent to Work (Tailored to team leads)

Corporations want a competitive edge over their competitors. Individuals can also have an edge over others. This is not about competition about maximum contribution; it is about helping your team members give their best to the team and organization. The only way to get the best from your team mates is to help them put their talent to work. In our area of strength, we are sharper and more creative, and bring more value to the organization.

This talk will teach attendees why talent is critical to your success at work, and how to encourage team members to put their talents to work.

Duration: 1 hour

On behalf of the National Customer Service Association and all attendees of THE 2017 National Customer Service Conference, please accept our heartfelt “Thank You!” for making this event THE Customer Service event of the year!  Your presentation provided so many outstanding “take-aways” for our attendees which will heighten their service delivery for years to come.

Kene is a thoughtful and dynamic presenter.  As the Keynote Speaker for Pyramid Consulting’s Annual Meeting, Kene’s message about the benefits of multi-dimensional coaching resonated with our global team of leaders, managers and operations personnel. His interactive and energizing session provided relatable examples - and most importantly, actionable suggestions - on how to implement these valuable strategies. Many of our team have begun applying the techniques to coach-up and coach laterally, resulting in more effective communication with their managers and business peers that supports their success. The feedback from the team has been overwhelmingly positive, and I would highly recommend Kene as a speaker and presenter for future programs.

Kene came to speak at exactly the right time.  Our company does a lot of business with the US Government and sequester had just hit.  Many people were questioning their future.  Kene's uplifting message of personal responsibility and engagement was just what the doctor ordered.  Several people commented to me how his speech motivated them to become more intentional in plotting their career path.  I couldn't have asked for a better outcome since we are at the mid-year of our Performance Review & Career Development planning cycle. Thanks for giving us a well-received shot of adrenaline.

Thanks so much for the great message with my leadership team.  The feedback has been fantastic!  Each leader was able to spend time focusing on their true talents and how to better leverage them in their role as a leader, as well as leveraging them in building stronger teams.  I would recommend this session to anyone interested in building stronger, more engaged teams through purposeful leveraging of talent and strengths.

We enjoyed having you speak to our community health workers. Thank you for sharing an encouraging and practical message. Your talk was successful and served as a great launching pad for the community health workers as they enter a new year of working throughout D.C., Virginia, and Maryland. Your attention to detail and commitment to getting to know the audience as best as you could within a short amount of time helped your message resound with the CHWs. They were energized and excited after hearing you speak. The worksheets you provided were helpful and the exercises and discussions led our CHWs to think more about the issues at hand, while simultaneously allowing them to learn more about each other and themselves.

On behalf of The Home Depot’s Diversity & Inclusion Associate Resource Groups, we would like to thank you for your speech to our employees. It was a very well‐delivered, targeted speech on a topic that many of our Associates were interested in learning more about. Since then, I’ve received many compliments regarding your speech. Several colleagues mentioned that the information you provided has helped them rethink the way that they approach preparing for a presentation. Once again, many thanks and we do look forward to having you come back as a presenter.
